Hate seeing guys get hurt but schenn Turning last second will work in favour for the other guy but he was cruising at him.
- Yeti1181

It was a split second reaction for Schenn. Wilson's the responsible party here. Still, NHL punishment is hard to predict.

Gotta make the playoffs before you start worrying about how to win in the playoffs

.500 refers to Point Percentage in the NHL, not regulation wins divided by total games played. Get used to it.

The way I see it. They are 13-15 and however many ties in the game of 5 on 5 hockey how it was meant o be played. NHL has their opinion

Uh, they have 15 wins, and only 1 is not a regulation win...so using that logic, they're 14-15

Which they have. They're 15-15-4. Since the NHL uses points to determine standings and who makes and misses the playoffs, they're .500. They have exactly half of all the possible points they could have picked up.

it's not rocket science.

But the call isn't boarding, it's charging, so the position of the player hit should have no import. And that sure seemed like intent to injure.

he made some timonesque defensive plays tonight, even got a tiny bit physical with a few people. let's hope this week is where we look back and think this was where he turned a corner.
- -davies-

I think Timmo has played very well lately, penalties late in periods aside. He is levels above where e started the season and if he repeat this next year, I would love to have him back. Much an happen between now and the end of the year and price is a factor, but I would love to keep that tough bastard around

So a team goes 0-0-0-82, they're .500? The NHL can call a pile of poop a dozen roses but its still a pile of poop

I think you have an extra zero in there.

And it's better than games ending in ties. That, without a doubt, is the worst outcome of any competition.

You can keep smashing your head against that wall, but there's a set number of points the Flyers could have acquired at this point in the season, and they have exactly half of those.

And the thing you're ignoring is that if the Flyers had simply "lost" those games, they wouldn't have gotten any points.

I can't even remember what that extra category was right now...had to look it up. Still doesn't make sense.

Really nice to see the confidence growing in several players.
Streit looks comfortable and Voracek is looking to shoot first which makes him way more effective. I saw Raffl as a great 4th line option but he has higher potential then that. Simmonds and Coburn continue their very good play.
Mase looked shaky the first half of the game but battled through it.

Very encouraged by Streit and Voracek, they both have big roles on this team and are looking better lately.

Hope Schenner is ok.
FU McPhee that play was not a good hit, jagoff

a loss is a loss no matter how people try to spin it
you don't lose half way you either win or lose simple

I think we can all agree on that. But there's more than wins and losses during the regular season of the NHL, and that's where points come in to play.
