They seem to be about the same in quality, don't they? Peters kinda sucked a little in the previous seasons, didn't he? I'm surprised no one is freaking out demanding we get Martin Jones once Jonathon Quick is back. |

I think Peters is cheaper to get and Jones a bit more expensive specially trading with LA they going to try to rape MacT in a deal. |

peters is probably lower quality overall. but bryz is gonna be our guy, and we just need a capable backup.
peters has actually played very well in stretches taking over from ward when he went down |

Put Omark on a line with Crosby and Malkin and I bet he lights it up!
Put Omark anywhere in Edmonton and the coach will frank him up just like Yakupov. I am not even a Oiler fan but it is obvious to me that Dallas Eakins in not the right guy to be coaching the Oilers and upper management needs to be cleaned out too. - flyerdude17

We need Defense....You need Offence…..if you don’t mind the fact that there are multiple teams in the league right now, that have practically twice as many goals as your club has…..and your cool with that…….Keep ‘em!
Omark can score, Jones can score, Gagner has had 5 X 40+ pt at 24 years old compared to Ott’s 1 and he’s 31 years old. - Rhino

I like how McNabb isn't worth much.
You'd love him within minutes of seeing him play. - kingcong39
We don't need unproven question marks on defense, we have enough of those. We need proven top 4 NHL defenders preferably top 2. |

That was via Bruce Garrioch who was assuming because we traded one goalie that we'd need another. |

Yeah i remember you wanted bishop last year when bishop was an unproven backup...no wait...everyone valued him as an unproven backup last year. Sometimes players breakout in ways that GMs should not be expected to predict.
The likelihood that Bishop is a star in two years - heck even the likelihood that he's a starter in 5 years is still historically quite low |

Well, I looked at his size and background and saw nothing but potential. The Oilers were still optimist about Dubnyk's prospects and I just thought that it wouldn't cost much to get a Tender with loads of upside. He did not have much opportunity to really show what he could do, but what we had seen was enough for me that I felt the Oil should take a chance on him. Really, I didn't share the optimism about Dubs 'cause he was 27 and had lots of chances to show his stuff---but I felt the best he'd ever be is a quality backup.
So, opportunity lost, for us. |

I think Rimmer's in Bakersfield now. I'm pretty sure we have Bunz and Chet Pickard there too. |
