Make it Ott instead of Stafford, we can toss in a 3rd and a 5th rounder

Gagner in Edmonton is the same issue as Hodgson in Buffalo... both are #2 Centers who will average between 40-50 pts in a full, healthy season. Problem is, they're both expected to produce #1 statistics and it isn't going to happen. This is harder for Hodgson, due to less talent surrounding him than Gagner has alongside him (regardless of which line he plays on, except the 4th).

So, I'll offer up Ville Leino and Brayden McNabb for Sam Gagner and Linus Omark. I love McNabb, tough and physical blueliner with some offensive upside. His biggest problem is his skating and lack of NHL experience. Big-time upside in that kid. I'm only willing to part with him if the Oilers agree to take Leino out of Buffalo. Otherwise, best I can do is Alex Sulzer for Linus Omark.

No one should expect Gagner to put up 1st line numbers, that is RNH's job.

As for that trade, no go. McNabb is worth much at all and Leino is a negative. I'm not exactly in a rush to move Gagner for nothing.

He's back to his rookie season form in just under a month with Nolan. Coach told him, "forget about x's and o's, just go out and play hockey".

And, at this point, it's going to take a 1st to pry Ott away. He just brings too much to the table.

I agree that Ott is too valuable to your team to let him go very easily. I enjoy cheering for the underdogs, so I've been hoping that Myers can get back to a stronger level of play.

Ott for a first? Okay darcy. Other than leading his team in hits and pim im not sure what else he brings. He cant lock down an opposing teams first line and he doesnt help offensively.

Bryz has new pads when does he paint the mask? Anyone see Lucic outside a bar in Vancouver yelling "do you know who I am" and "I would kill you" was pretty funny. From the video sounds like he got hit two or three times. Its on youtube

We need Defense....You need Offence…..if you don’t mind the fact that there are multiple teams in the league right now, that have practically twice as many goals as your club has…..and your cool with that…….Keep ‘em!
Omark can score, Jones can score, Gagner has had 5 X 40+ pt at 24 years old compared to Ott’s 1 and he’s 31 years old.

I wish we'd give him more of a chance. Trading him will only get you a third round pick. And that's if we're lucky.
