Meh. Hedman/Salo/Carle/Gudas is a pretty formidable top four, but I agree that Team USA should be watching.

Conacher produced when he was with st louis and stamkos, #MyGrandmaCould
seriously though, hes numbers were a result of stammer n marty...although he DOES have potential to be a good NHL'er, he models his game after marty, except hes a little grittier, which is never a bad thing.. a good prosepct that i still hope pans out, i like him a lot

our top 4 went from (frank)ing poop to pretty decent. what a great change. and lets not forget that coopers system has a big impact on it. gudas absoloutely shines under cooper..

If bishop was starting for the blues what would his numbers look like ? not saying we are terrible but thats not a legit top 4 gudas ? salo getting up there in age still plays pretty well. Carle has been a good top 4 guy as hedman has as well.

i said he would be able to hold a .930 sv % with a team with amazing defense like the 2011 predators or the blues... nobody liked that...well guess what? its almost halfway through the season on a lightning team and check out the #'s

ya my concern is that stevie y traded a guy high and we traded a guy low in terms of trade value. I still think if Conacher was in the minors playing in the top 6 he'd have a chance to make that deal a good one. We'll see what happens. Good to see Bishop doing well

80 pts in 75 games in the ahl followed by 28 pts in 35 games, he was ready to be brought up, his game just gotta be complimented by the right linemate, hes small, hes gritty, he works hard, he can finish too..if you put conacher with spezza//ryan i think there would be instant results, hes a good player..but i doubt maclean ever gives him the same oppurtunity he got in tampa. however, lets not forget how horrid he is in his own end

And that's why MacLean doesn't (read: shouldn't) give him the opportunity with Spezza/Ryan that you speak of. Guy Boucher was VERY lenient with Conacher. I don't think it would fly with Cooper.

i would agree here they don't put conacher on the right line in ottawa! put him with spezza and ryan yes indeed.

Sens are in a playoff dogfight right now. I'm not sure it's MacLean's M/O to force an ineffective defensive player into a big role. If Ottawa finds itself out of the playoff picture come the Olympic break, let's say, then I could see it.

Looks as though the NHL agrees with us and isn't gonna pursue Gudas for the Franzen hit. Looks to me as though Franzen dipped his head at the last second, but with this lawsuit the NHL is looking to appear tough
