As of late he's been bad. But overall he's been playing ok. Rangers most consistent D-man after Mcdonagh this year. I hope he resigns. He's a RHS and the Ragers don't have many of those. I could see a desperate team throwing like 3.5 or 4 million AAV out for him.

I'm telling you. He regularly is caught in between and doesn't have the strength to be a 2-way or defensive defenseman. He struggles regular in his own end. He's as much of a defensive/2-way guy as RNH is a bottom 6 center.

Because young players that haven't played a full season in the NHL never struggle. I find it funny how Yaks put up similar #'s to Stamkos, Tavares, Hall, and Nuge when they first came into the league but he's clearly a bust.

Would a package of a dman in Wilson (signed next season as well) and a forward like McGinn be enough to pry him loose?

I bet Niskanen gets at least a mil per more than Stralman. Avs are either gonna have to hope their young guys develop, or trade more than spare parts if they want a legit top 4 d-man. Or join the UFA bidding war.
