No. He is "supposed" to be the replacement for Girardi.

I can agree with that, but thats the sort of package I think the Avs would be comfortable putting together to try and upgrade the D Corps, only other guy that could be moved is Parenteau, but another 2nd line winger would have to be coming back as well. Other than that just ruins too much chemistry on the team

Yea, if I were Colorado I'd pick up some lower profile guys on D for the playoffs, and do what you can this year. After that I'd make a really strong pitch for someone like Girardi or Orpik in the offseason.

Thats how I look at it too, maybe columbus moves UFA's soon, a guy like Nikitin, or Sens with a guy like Corvo. 2nd rounders and mid level prospects type of packages

Philly is so unpredictable but if they end up on the outside looking in come the deadline, Timonen is a UFA and y'all have the cap space to take on his cap hit. Might be worthwhile for the playoffs.

Timonen could be a nice addition, but he would cost a 1st rounder for sure, and I would rather keep our first this year no matter what. Cant burn those in the Avs position
