I think there are some true positives here right now.

We've burned teams before during the rebuild phase, but mostly when teams got caught in a track meet.

Last night, we didn't win, but we had the Bruins on their heels for the better part of two periods. Now, I'll admit you hang back when you've got a 3-0 lead, but even as the game got closer we really drove the play pretty well. We didn't win, we just played well, and even if he had won it doesn't indicate that we'd be able to hang tough with a team like Boston in a 7-game series, but I think it's encouraging.

All we've been hearing lately is that it's literally impossible for any speed/skill team to compete with any size/toughness team and thus the team makeup is completely flawed. Sure didn't look like that to me last night.

Tuned is when you are looking at the lights for 15 minutes like a former Flame.

I never expected Gazdic to beat McGrattan, the fact that he fought him was enough for me. I still love McGrattan and give him full credit for the respect he showed Gazdic before during and after.

I actually hope McGrattan becomes a spokes person and or writes a book. Guy has had a rough life, but sure seems to be having fun again.

However I still believe the team makeup is flawed. If it wasn't we would be winning games. I'm happy to hear the cap is going up, might give us a fighting chance at signing some UFA's.
