well if he is (frank)ing injured he should not be playing 18-24 mins of ice - ending plays on his stick and causing turnovers... if he is injured give arco his icetime and let him sit and heal... eakins and his misuse of players is shines through and through... but there is hope - he has made some improved decisions the last 5 games...

I did not mind the beachball gaffe from the blue line last night... made me laugh and took me back to the Salo dayz....

I like the way Joenssu is playing lately and getting more ice time.....but I have a feeling that Eakins might insert Smyth back in tonight

I didn't like him yesterday. He got rocked and kinda was meh after that.

I actually haven't minded Smyth the past little while, but I can't see him be inserted unless Jones and Joensuu are benched. But given it's the Nucks we need Joensuu's size regardless of his poor game.

Ideally Gordon is in, Jones is out.

I'd try something like this;

that was MacT first mistake as a GM but lest hope Eakins adjust his coaching to the type of players the Oil have and lets hope MacT can help him out bringing a Goalie and some more D help for next season,I didn't like Eakins system's but I like what he's doing lately which is changing his coaching style to adjust to the current players the Oil have but there's more work to do.

I'm not even angry anymore. You just have to accept Dub will let in a back breaking goal near every game and move on.

Its a team game where if your entire team doesnt play well they lose.plain and simple, im not sayin dubnyk is an awesome goalie...im sayin the entire oilers team, office and fans need to be realistic.losses cannot be hung on one player alone.

Not true. We can't blame Dubnyk for every game we lost, but certainly a few. It is the goalie's job to give the team a chance to win. Letting in drifters from 40 feet out is not giving your team much of a chance. It is a team game, but it only 1 players job to stop the puck from going in and that's the Goalie.goalies are credited for 'stealing' wins and should also be accountable when they fail to make the simple save.

I don't think MacT liked Krueger's philosophies. I wonder if over the x-mas break they bring someone in. Some guys were throwing it out there that we should bring a vet in, and it was some credible guys. Maybe the Oilers have feelers out there, but guys are waiting until the holiday season is done?

Then again, this team is actually doing pretty decent as of late. 7-4-1 is quite an improvement from the first 12 of 3-8-1.

Overall yes, but he's inconsistent at it. Last night he had 3 real good chances to lay a guy out and he didn't. Not sure if it was noticeable on the TV though. Wasn't just him though, but that's his job.

I have no sympathy for Salo. Yeah it sucks but rumour has it that Bertuzzi was banging her in Long Island and he stayed with her . I know it was Milbury but didn't anyone wonder how we got a starting goalie during an Era when there was at least 10 teams without one for the low low price of Mats Lindgren? God I miss Slats.if he was here we would have a goalie by now. Sather never, ever, let goaltending be a problem for very long.
