I'm not even convinced that a healthy Gagner couldn't be worked back into that lineup, but if those XXs were replaced by say Dubinsky, Malone and Kulemin (three fairly "acquireable" players) you can see where it goes from bad mix to excellent mix very quickly.

yeah, he was the only reason we even had a chance goin into the 3rd. he played fantastic in the first 2 periods.
the 3rd goal might be considered abit soft, but it didn't matter, the game was over anyway. we had no chance.
their forecheck was relentless and we couldn't deal with it. we slowed it down abit after the first, but it was still too much, our defence were mostly scrambling all night.
and neither could we sustain any real pressure in their end.

it was just a debacle start to finish.
