I'm not impressed with Foligno and from the looks of it, neither is Nolan. I could take or leave him the only thing about him is his last name IMO, another average if that player. - SABRES 89
What arent you impressed about him? Hes not scoring? Hes not giving effort? Foligno is absolutely a player we need to keep. He may not have everything together right now as a 22 year old without 1 full NHL season under his belt, but as a 26, 27, 28 year old in his prime he will be an important player on this team. |

safer to draft another QB this year or wait and build up other positions? Likewise who is the real deal and who do we not have to worry about replacing? Kiko, Woods, obviously RB is set, another corner or is mckelvin ok? |

What has he done to prove that? To me he looks like an average 3rd line player. Is it because his name is Foligno and not Smith, White or anything else for that matter? |

If he isn't the real deal that means were picking high the year after too. I would look or an offensive gaurd, big receiver to replace Stevie or get Kahlil Mack to play along side Kiko. |

I guess it will come down to whether you would rather have Risto/Reinhart or Nichushkin/Ekblad |

That could be said for any player on this team. Coaching has a bunch to do with it . Nolan is slowly turning it around. Getting them to play as a team. I will give him this year . and when the new GM comes in ,who knows what we could end up with.
Could be worse (really it can't). |

disagree
draft a lb and guard in first 2 rounds
rest of the draft get a wr, te, tackle and db's (in no particular order)
there are going to be some descent free agents as well

how long of a shelf life does Nolan have as a coach?
my guess is this season and next, then results are needed to be contending for a playoff spot

thats what im thinking too
I don't mind Nolan as the coach. We kinda know what we are getting and the players seem to follow his preaching and work ethic. |

Money will keep Moulson and Ott here if needed, you don't let them go for more picks that will take another 3-4 years to develop. - SABRES 89
I don't disagree with wanting to re-sign them
But just throwing $$$ at th won't necessarily make them want to stay
We tried to make Vanek the highest paid player in the league and he still wanted to move on
Moulson & Ott have played on bad teams pretty much their whole careers
They could go to a playoff team and still get paid good $$$
Pegula can say stuff like "Hockey Heaven" all he wants, but Buffalo won't be a place guys wanna come to (or stay) until we start winning |

I'd much rather have Ristolainen & Reinhart
Although it would have been interesting to see Nichushkin play on a line w Grigorenko |

We have a lot (alot for hat) in place that players will take notice of . remember Darcy isn't here. We have yet to see the benefits of it .And now we are stuck in the waiting game . Lots of senerios being tossed around from us are chair GM's. Thats why I don't do trade proposals. |

If there is a GM the Sabres want they should move before the Flames do, I know they want the right guy but i'm pretty sure it doesn't need to take this long. |

I guess...
But where would u sign?
Here or Vancouver? Or Pitt? Or LA? Or Boston?
I could go on and on
I'd love to be proven wrong...
But I just don't see any major signings happening till we start winning

Teams could dump big contracts on us during the offseason as well to help us reach the floor. |

Keeping Moulson and Ott instead of taking teams bad players and contracts is a better way to get to the floor IMO, why move the both of them for picks and take scrub players and there bad contracts. Adding more bad deals and players will not help the young players progress. |

If the Rangers buy out Richards I would seriously look at him for a number 1 center and have the kid we draft learn from him, I would take him over Stastny as of now unless we could get Stastny for less, no way would I trade for Richards. |

89 ... Glad you seen to have the same logical thinking I do and some others. We will never ice a team filled with Crosbys and Kanes. Team does need 2nd and 3rd liners.. |

I think most on here want Ott and Moulson gone for picks, I do not agree with that. We don't need anymore picks we have enough, we need players that can play now or next year. We will still get plenty of picks and we haven't moved Miller yet either, if they do picks will probably be part of the deal. |
