Gaborik was always called out in New York for his lack of effort. They're both one way lazy talented forwards, but Gaborik is really fast.

Stamkos didn't have it at first but Crosby did.
- SABRES 89

It would be nice to have 2 guys ahead of him like Colorado does. My only issue is I don't wanna go sign someone long term

They don't need to "tank" anymore. They could go on a similar pace they did in 2011 and they'd still end up in last.

If we buyout Leino, cant resign Miller, Moulson, or Ott... we gotta spend money somewhere. I think Gaborik is the only realistic shot.

We give him 7 years, taper the pay-scale legally so at the end of the 7th year hes making way less $7M in real money, its not too big a deal.

Plus, by the 5th year of the contract, the cap will be so high his $7M wouldnt be restricting us like Vaneks was when the cap was so low.

I'm kind of 50/50 on it. Hes injured way too often. I would only consider Gaborik if the first sentence I explained was a certainty.

Miller gets abused for letting those goals in, I want to hear everyone abuse Enroth right now. That was bad.
- theblueandgold

it's a cap era, and he is the backup

not a good sign if they are going to think about playing him 55 games next year though

Big city media is ridiculous. Toronto, LA, NY, MTL... they love you when the team is there and hate/turn on you even when youre barely struggling.

He had one "bad" season in NYR, and that was his last one when he got traded. They LOVED him when he was scoring 40 goals a season for them, and never questioned his effort.

IMO Vanek is is Minny by the deadline and never leaves.
Marleau and Gabby are the 2 best goal scorers on the market come July 1st.
We would need to overpay IMO

They could stand to do it. They have the cash and the need to get to the cap floor. It just doesn't bode well if the plan is to get McDavid.

Why not? You've been saying for years that Enroth is capable to handle that... Finally seeing the light!?

Eh, Miller has had many better performances. It's a different beast playing 60+ games than being spot started.
That being said, I don't care if Miller goes

Miller has more of the "big save" capability. Both can let in goals that they shouldn't.

He would if the team didnt try harder in front of him than they do for Miller. Miller facing on average 10 shots more per game than Enroth. Team has more confidence in Miller than Enroth, that tells you something.

If Enroth was our #1 this year or last even last year, the team doesnt "get up" to play in front of him like they do now, he'd get exposed and look like a backup that he is the entire season.

This will probably end up turning out to be a good hockey trade, but Seguin looks really good in Dallas. I still wonder if he needed to get out of Boston in order to really shine though.

It will end up being a bad move for Boston, 21 year old number 1 centers are like winning lottery tickets

If Boston ends up wining another Cup within 3 years, the trade is still worth it.

Yes but they very well could have had a better chance with Seguin. In 4-5 years they will be shaking their heads.
