That's because the West plays most of their games against the West. The bottom teams in both conferences are dreadful, the middle class teams are about even, but they have far more top end teams in the West.

I look at it as Boston and Pittsburgh vs. Chicago, Anaheim, LA, St.Louis, SJ

Honorable mention to Montreal, Colorado and Vancouver.

And honestly, i would like Boston's chances in a SCF against any of those teams more than ours right now. Lots of time for that to change though, just need to start by getting healthy.

March 1-7 will be telling...

@ Chicago
@ Nashville
@ San Jose
@ Anaheim

Yikes.

Can't argue any of that.

Boston does seem the best eastern chance. We are shallow in our bottom 6 even with Bennett in the line up.

Just once for this playoff run I'd like to be healthy.

Maybe it's just because they always seemed to be a factor in the West, but I wouldn't overlook Detroit.

And Tampa, assuming a healthy Stamkos, is a decent darkhorse bet.

Did anyone catch the Philly-Chicago game ? I had the feeling that Chicago could have gone double-digits if they had wanted to, they just toyed with Philly.

Really wish I could be having this poll for the Flyers... Who will win the Art Ross from the Flyers?

I watched some of it. After paging through all the posts on this board, not one Philly fan came over to tell us how disgusted they are with all the dirty sh*t their team pulled last night.....strange.

Feaster's days were numbered the minute Burke took over.

I agree. Just figured they'd fire him at the end of the season last year instead of waiting until the season started.

While I'm sure the Outdoor Series jerseys will be interesting to say the least I was hoping for something more retro. Looks like we'll be disappointed on that end. At least that's the early indication.

Unless I reallllly hate it I'll probably end up getting one though. Mostly because I'm going to the game itself...and I have a serious addiction to jersey collection.

Both good examples of teams that will be strong when healthy. Seems Detroit hasn't has a complete team all year.

I'll most likely be wrong but I think the new jersey will be vegas gold with the mid 90's pigeon.

I have this jersey, the home one except it doesn't have the patches and it's a Lemieux. I tried it on last year for poops and giggles when i had some people over for beers and it barely made it to the top of my gut. I think i got it when i was about 14.

Still my fav Pens jersey though.

I have a Lemieux one too. I wish they would have used these for their Winter Classics instead of the cursed blue ones.

I'm kinda hoping that it becomes a regular jersey again and not one reserved for an outdoor game.

I'm back finally. Got banned for 2 weeks for saying that EK only posts about the flyers because it's easier for him to make up rumors. They did not like that very much

That is not surprising.

BTW, good read on the Thorton hearing:
