If anything, Ranger should be the one doing a good job considering he plays sheltered minutes. But yet, he's garbage.


I dont think these same people gave komisarek a free pass playing those minutes, either. They never talked about his money. Just how he was terrible.

and lets nto forget: Jbo 2 years ago was a joke contract, because he had nobody to help him out and looked like poop. Only reason his name is being brought up right now is because he's playing on a team that has another top-pairing d-man, and forwards that support the d.

Forwards supporting the D cannot be understated, and the Leafs don't do it at all...

I'm sayin! The return for 2 months of Kaberle was incredible! Part of the reason we got so much for him was his absolutely steal of a cap hit at $4.25 million... that was one of the greatest signings made despite the NTC...

Somebody was bashing Phaneuf for not being able to make a pass, circling back, dumping it and hoping a forward would win it.

THAT'S EXACTLY THE PROBLEM. No forwards in position to accept passes, no forwards coming back to help out d-men in trouble.

Kaberle's cap hit was NEVER a problem... EVER... it was always considered a steal... you can complain about the NTC given out to the Muskoka 5 but Kaberle's $4.25 million was a steal from the day it was signed until he landed in Boston...
