Absolutely, you can see it in Holland, what surprised me is he competes along the boards, gets right in there to battle for the puck.

Yup.

I know

But to be fair, it's really hard to get the puck up, and make it accurate when you're in the goal crease.

I put it at 90% that Kulemin gets moved by the trade deadline, they can't afford what he will be asking. I would give what he is making to Komarov, they need the little pest.

What people fail to realize, because of the piss poor play of the other d-men higher up, he has to log more minutes then he should.
- LeafMan

i realize this. seems like everyone wants to blame ranger for all the woes on D.

ridiculous.

Ya probably.

Don't want to see him go, but he likely doesn't resign, or wants too much, and he definitely has decent value, especially to a playoff team.

He will most likely be signed, I'm trying to convince myself that they won't keep making the same mistakes over and over again with re-signs.

Not when you are in the NHL. Lifters are pretty easy for them.
- bixll

thing is, you gotta look at the angle he needs to shoot it at.

Getting the top of the net from the slot or blue line requires a much smaller angle(lets just ballpark it at 5-10 degree elevation)... but in the blue paint, with a goalie taking away the bottom, you've gotta lift it at a 45degrees... but if you get it up to 60, you're over the net. Then factor in the time you've got to think about it before the goalie or a d-man removes you from the puck, and it's a hard shot.

That's why when JVR pulls it off, it's impressive as (frank).

I could have lifted the puck over his pad.. It has nothing to do with me being a scientist and everything to do with playing the game.

Yup. Posted my lineups yesterday.

I see a 3rd line of Holland-Bolland-Leivo, and a 4th line of FML/Orr/D'Amigo-McClement-Komarov

Nice bottom-6.

Sure you could have.

That's why you're in the NHL, and Kulemin is a stoner with a shawarma addiction posting on hockeybuzz.

You know how you guys that love Ranger are always saying if the Leafs can find someone better at that price to fill his role then you're all for it and wouldn't care?

Well when the Leafs can find a #1 dman better than Dion at his price then we're all for it too... It's the same thing... only difference is, most of us see that our D corps minus Dion makes this team significantly easier to play against... anyone stating otherwise is blindly hating (same thing you accuse non Ranger fans of)... so, like I said... when you can find us a #1 dman better than Dion that's available, we'll all gladly take him... until then...

Interesting how they often consider % of cap when resigning guys like this rather than a fixed sum. Seems ridiculous.
