Goalies are part of the team, as are the defensemen that make sure guys don't get second and 3rd chances, or that limit the shooting options, to give the goalies an easier job.

Our defensemen, at some point, stopped limiting good shots, and started screening the goalie.

a loss is a loss, and still stings, but at least the game wasn't infuriating to watch.

I know it was 1 game, but I was skeptical on how Franson would handle the extra time/better opponents, and was pleasantly surprised. The biggest difference I noticed, was that Franson does not have hands of stone and actually looks around for an open man, and can complete a play under pressure.

I have liked the changes to Phaneuf's games this season, but he still can't make a clean play under pressure, and that is never going to change. So please trade him at the deadline, and keep that cap space for other options.

Truth be told........ the Leafs played a really good game last night.

Best game in over a month for sure.

We lost, but they keep playing as they did last night, and they will win the majority of their games.
