No it wasn't, he forwards were better.
- Big_Lightnin

Yup, smaller gaps and didn't fail to get the puck out multiple times forcing them to stay longer on defense.

Sarcasm. Guy isn't even in the conversation as a bubble candidate. How the (frank) is he a 7-8 mil defensemen?
- Pikey Fan

Why are people so fixated on what he makes? Sure there is a cap, but you don't let your best Dman go because you're too cheap to pay him. Whether he is good enough for team Canada or not is irrelevant.

You literally missed the point..

He's blaming Dion for our team giving up 50 shots against a night

When in fact, Those 3 are giving up the same number of shots, in limited ice time, against bottom 6 players.

Do you need me make a (frank)ing pop up book for you too understand?

The difference tonight was we didn't have a fourth line of goons and he played the puck movers big minutes, Gardiner played 26 minutes plus. And with Rielly. And you know what? that's when we had our most chances....even saw Gardiner use his body on d and to keep the puck in the offensive zone.

First of all, the Olympic team will be considering how to assemble a team for international ice. On NHL ice, he has easily been a top 10 defenseman this year.

And going forward, he is certainly a 7 mil defenseman. We may not like it, but that's inflation for ya.

Holy (frank) no wonder we aren't even close to being contenders when he is considered our best dman.

He is a complimentary top pairing dman at best. IMO he should be a 3 man making 6 milly.

I think Gunnar is the type who will be undervalued on the trade market and harder to replace than we think.

Not opposed to moving him if the opportunity is right, but I don't think he'd fetch what he's worth to us.
