I'm not saying I'm right in this thought, but I've always thought that people who put a lot of emphasis into Corsi would rather play on Excel than watch the game. Anyone with half a brain and some hockey knowledge can watch a game and tell who is playing good and bad and for what reason.

I don't need Jonah Hill to tell me what I can see with my own eyes.

The general thought behind the anti-corsi movement is that shot attempts alone don't necessarily reflect how a game actually went. Tonight I think Toronto out-chanced and out-played LA quite clearly, something they have not done to any team in a long time though.

As a whole the Leafs have truly earned their poor corsi rating of late. I think you'd get quite a few of us corsi skeptics to agree with that.

That's Corsi for you though. The shots reflect time spent in the other teams zone, and the fact that each shot taken is a scoring chance.

Again, Corsi was being slammed by burn and many others, including myself, because it neglected special teams and the play of the goalie. We lost tonight because their goalie was the star of the game. Yet when our goalie was stealing games, Corsi was wrong, despite the other team having the majority of shots, scoring chances and energy.


At the end of the day, they lost because they weren't good enough to win. Our shooters weren't as good as theirs, and our goalie wasn't as solid as theirs. Same as when we win despite being out played and out shot. Yet now that the shoe is on the other foot, the story changes.

You're missing the irony, but it's okay. The majority have seen it, laughed at it, and are ready to move on.

Whatever man.. This battle is getting ridiculous. I just hope when they trade him so you'll shut up about him.
