Here's the thing... The numbers he posts are the statistical evidence that clearly and completely refute your opinion.

You can dislike the way bold argues, but the argument is sound. You don't like Phaneuf. That's fine. That's a personal preference and I get that. I wish he weren't captain too.

But the fact you don't like him doesn't make him suck. And it doesn't erase the evidence that he is in fact the leafs best defenceman by a pretty vast margin.

About a week ago, Muzzin had the highest Corsi rating for defenseman. That should never be attributed to his game as most Kings fans would attest.

Leafs skated faster than they have in weeks. They moved the puck better. They had more quality scoring chances than they were able to manufacture recently.
