You realize most of these players are uneducated right? Half of 'em probably don't even have a legitimate HS education, they were probably given passing grades just to keep them in the CHL program.

I don't even mean that as a insult. It's a legitimate excuse for them.

Look, I have watched Ranger play in Tampa and I loved him. Then he decided to take time off. When he signed last year with the Marlies i was thrilled. Last year he was plus 16 with 8 goals and 17 assists. That pretty good after taking years off. I am actually comfortable with Ranger on the ice. I feel he has got better. He is even with 1 goal and 6 assists. I think he is getting more physical and playing better defense. But trust me he has a lot more offence that will come. Just like Kadri, it takes time to adjust to a higher level, right?

He's been getting beaten wide with speed repeatedly all season, and is prone to the bonehead giveaway. Not sure if those two things will just go away.

Speed can improve. And did you really expect this guy to come play in the NHL for the first time in 4 years and be perfect. He is still getting comfortable to playing in the NHL and will get better on the give away's.
