Imo Nonis totally FK'ed up....He made too many changes to the top 6 and completely ignored the biggest issue as he did nothing to solidify the D.. - Fruitcakenipple
I respectfully disagree.
I really don't feel like going on about this all night, so yea. Sure. |

And isn't it funny. Those people are no where to be found. I recognize some posters. but They undoubtedly have changed their tune now yet holding true to thinking that keeping komarov was their opinion all along as well
(frank)ing internet - Cherry--Skoal
But he is so easily replaceable.... |

Fair enough, but Grabo played a diff position than the guy they got. As for Komarov, im not sure his ceiling was as high as Clarksons was at the time. Im not Nonis, so I can't tell you what he was thinking. - systemtool
Komarov is not even close to as skilled offensivly as Clarkson is...so yeah thats scary.
But komarov actually bring intangibles.... Clarkson tries to yap at other teams....while komarov for whatever reason was just hated... and it got teams off their game.
Komarov is just a guy / has a face that pisses you off
And he is valuable |

He's just waiting until Niskanen and Girardi are available this July |

IMO the biggest need is a number 1 center.
We are going to do poop without a number 1 center.
We are also not going to do poop without a solid D core.
basically we are not going to do poop - Cherry--Skoal

You don't have to sell me on Komarov. I loved the guy. Im talking about Clarkson. Would rather have Komo over Kulemin and have Clarkson, if it were up to me. |

Nonis hasnt been in control long enough to say he has (frank)ed the team or made the team better.
His finger prints are not really on this team yet.....Still all burke. |

Like I said before, we have guys who will replace him one day. Like Biggs and Ross. But they aren't even effective at the AHL level yet, we need a spark plug now.
Ashton.... Looking your way dude... |

I said it to.. And took a chomping.
It's amazing how many people on here have jumped off the clarkson train to, considering how lit up anyone who opposed it in the summer was. - joel878
I still think this team needed Clarkson. Just like this team needed Bolland, just like this team needs Komorov.
If things work out right they could be a pretty poopty team to play against in a few years. Ross, Biggs, MacWilliams, there is toughness, it just needs to mature. |

...yeah no players ever in the history of the nhl has ever made a play from the spot he was on the ice. Yeah, he was screwed no matter what?
You're a joke - Cherry--Skoal
Name calling now..... I never said he couldn't make a better play... just saying mason didn't make a great decision which led to Clarkson being put in a less than ideal position.....

Komorov? I don't think he's coming back. He's having success where he is. - BetterCallSaul

Oh yeah and if we had komarov right now who spend a lot of last year on our 4th line we would be first overall in the NHL.. now that is a joke

Clarkson is the only part of that I disagree with.
Always thought he was pretty overrated. There was no way the production would hold up, and everything else he brings to the table can be easily replaced.
All I've said all along is I'm dying to be proven wrong.
He's yet to show anything other than he's a year away from having one of the most untouchable contracts in the league. |
