I like what Grabo brings so I don't hate him at 5.5. 4.5 would've made a lot more sense though. I get why he was bought out. I don't get why they used that money just to overpay someone else.

Im really not worried about that contract. It is what is and the cap is going up. We needed that kind of player and they went out and got him. Just about all UFA contracts suck. Clarkson, if he gets his game together and on track, is just what this team needs. Hopefully he gets it going, and soon....

Clarkson has not brought the grit and edge I was hoping for. He's a decent possession guy and doesn't quit on the puck, but he is not striking fear into the opposition and I can recall him getting pancaked at least a dozen times and can't recall a single moment-changing hit he's delivered.

Maybe that's not what he was advertised as, but I could've sworn he was more physical in NJ.

He's a 20-40 point player with a career year peaking at 46. I think people were expecting too much. He'll score at a higher rate eventually but I wouldn't expect a ton more offense.
