The Reaper/Undertaker is not a goon, but he is very quick to stick up for teamates and himself. This could be awesome. Imagine McIlrath and McD paired together someting in the future? Could be our modern day Leetch and Beukeboom
I am getting ahead of myself, but am excited to see the kid play. I just want his positioning to be good, lay a hit or two, and not look lost. If he has to tango, then that's a plus for tonight. |

I think we need to be patient with him, and expect him to make some mistakes. Hopefully, he seizes this opportunity and becomes a fixture with the Rangers. |

As am I. I hated the pick when it was made, then it grew on me a great deal, and then I have been frustrated with the pace of his development. But, I am really hoping that he sticks and can succeed with the Rangers, because the Rangers need good options on defense right now, both from an on-ice perspective and from the perspective of being able to make decisions on a few guys on the backline. |

Skating and on-ice decisions are a major work-in-progress, but he won't allow anyone to take liberties with teammates, which has been a major flaw on this team for a while |

apparently e. kane can be had for not that much maybe MDZ+brassard+pick (not 1st round) add him and the lineup looks a lot better, although still not good enough but you gotta start somewhere |

Benoit Pouliot and Taylor Pyatt are both IN while Derick Brassard is OUT (“sore butt”) (Leonard) |

Falk was horrific Tuesday. Must burn Brassard's butt - pun intended - to sit aaginst his former team. Hope McDonagh's hip is okay and he is not limited. |

I doubt that would get it done, but if it did I'd go to Winnipeg and pick him up myself. |

He admitted this lets him relax a bit as he can just play his game. Would be interesting to see that Marc Staal getting hurt set up a domino effect for a season turn around (i.e. McIlrath getting the call and DZ finding his game) |

there is no doubt in my mind that Del Zotto playing the left side can only make him play more relaxed |

As the guy who said I wouldn't really want Kane earlier, if he could be had for that package I would chip in for gas money to get you there. |

I said the same thing, but for that I'd be more than ok. But I highly doubt Jets would except that for their 4th overall pick. |

Lol other teams would BLOW that offer away for a chance at e kane. You want him, stepan, mdz, 1st could get it done. Nothing else. |

For that price, no thanks. That is a significant overpay, IMO.
Edit: Even in a down year, so far, Derek Stepan is producing at higher clip than Kane. He is average .63 points per game, wherease Kane's average is .53. Stepan has a better PPG average over his career than Kane and is +44 on his career. Not to mention, he plays a more important position. Tell me why the Rangers would give up anything more than Stepan for Kane. |

no prob. then don't do the deal and rebuild, what i would prefer, trade away girardi for a young defenseman and a pick, try to trade cally for what buf got for pominville or more (i love cally but it would be the best for the organisation, can always resign him in the offseason) trade MDZ as well, resign stralman, trade brassard for another player with high potential that needs a change of scenery or keep him. then bring up the kids and start building |

Especially if this is how the Rangers are going to play the whole year. They can't afford to create 3 holes just to patch one. |
