Nothing still announced, no clue.

Do they have an automatic 10 gamer if a player leaves the bench? NHL and NBA both have that as an automatic rule.

His dad played for the Flyers so we KNOW he will sign with us when he gets the chance. In fact, he may play for free.

Not in the QMJHL, this latest for him was not that it was going after a player who cross checked him face first into the glass.

anyone watching Caps/Bolts?

I'd give my right arm to see Ovie on G's wing.

I would only give my left arm. I'm a righty.

Ovie does have 4 goals tonight though.

Yes, it's real. The protective wrap is stuck to the plexiglass, so the view isn't so good for those 2 fans at the game

This team has such a logjam(karl hungus) of young forwards slotted for the 2nd and 3rd lines it's going to be really interesting to see who stays and who goes these next few seasons.

Simmonds
BSchenn
Read
Coots
Downie
McGinn
Laughton
Cousins
Raffl
Akeson

Read is the oldest @ 27. Good problem to have I guess.

- hereticpride

I really hope they sign Downie so they can put a decent package together for a Dman.

And as Down Goes Brown noted, it's the Red Wings, so it'll be on 24/7

The Flyers will be salivating over Chychrun's kid in a few years. He's got size, a mean streak, and is talented. Real talented. And will only get bigger and stronger.

And he will play defense.

Joke all you want about his dad, anyone who remembers knows Jeff took on all the heavyweights in his era and fared pretty damn well. He was one of the only Flyers during the lean years who showed up every game and player hard, and stood up for his team every night. I'd take a player like that today in a heartbeat.

Nah, Chychrun did have a ton of heart and worked his ass off. But he was a definite scape goat.

Wasn't Jussi Jokinen on waivers a little bit ago?

I still would like to believe that we never placed Hall on waivers.

- JFlyers00

hell yeah he was. why i have no idea. the cane are picking up part of his salary as well. he is worth his weight just for the shoot out alone, but he actually is an incredibly useful depth guy with some skill that can play any forward position up and down the lineup. mind boggling he was on waivers.
