So my 8 year old kid at the time liked the Flames from their playoff run & loss to Tampa in the finals - I bring him to a Flames game in Jersey sporting his new Iginla jersey - Iginla comes off the ice after warmups and asks my kid if he has a pen- my kid can barely shake his head no. So Iggy puts his stick & gloves down and says hold on for a sec, while he goes to the locker room to get a pen, comes back to sign his hat and jersey & gives him a handshake & wishes him luck in his squirt hockey career - from what I understand this is par for the course for #12 - Here's hoping for a great night!

I would say you are closer to year 5 than being in year 4, but I guess its all semantics, 3 firsts & 1 7th overall are all rebuild draft picks. So I think ground zero was the year leading up to that 1st overall for Hall. My time flys when you're having fun.

Cant argue except I am not sure how you see any slow improvement this year in any kind. If anything the start to this year is more steps back than getting there slowly. I can think of 3 players that you would consider future core having very disappointing performances.

Didn't the oilers have three first round picks in 2007? I think I would say that is year one.

Loui Eriksson (concussion), Chris Kelly (broken leg), Boychuk (back) and Adam McQuaid (lower body), Hamilton, (Lower Body), and throw in that Thortons self made problems, That's a lot of AHL roster callups....
