Breaking down the first months of a five year deal isn't looking particularly good.

Same old, same old.

The Flyers had actually been fairly fortunate with regard to injuries, especially compared to some other teams. Of course, we all knew that wasn't going to last.

So, some questions with no answers because I have absolutely no idea as to what the Flyers will do, but they say they're going to bring someone up:

1. Do you now give Tye McGinn a real shot to be a Top 6 forward over the next month (which we all know will probably be longer)?

2. Do you keep trying to trick yourself into thinking that Michael Raffl can fill this role (which we all have seen isn't looking too promising)?

3. Do you move dare risk moving Matt Read up a line, therefore breaking up the best line the Flyers have had all season?

I sure wish we'd do something bold, like give one of the more offensive players in Adirondack a shot, but since we're likely not going to do that...hell.

Bringing up McGinn to play in the top six and Raffl to the 4th line with PK duty makes sense to me.

I'd leave the Couts line alone.
I wouldn't mind McGinn with G and Jake but don't really want Hartnell and Simmer on the same line.

Not sure what Berube will do.

That what I think.
McGinn up to BSchenn's line.
Raffl with Hall and Rosehill on the 4th.

I would try the following lines if you really want to shake things up:
McGinn-Giroux-Voracek
Read-Schenn-Simmonds
Hartnell-Couturier-Downie
Cousins-Hall-Raffl

I would also scratch Streit for a game and get Gus back in the lineup. IMO Streit has been mediocre to just bad most games.

Vinnies contract is before age 35. He can retire very easily and not have cap compliance or guilt or financial issues since he had the buyout if this is an issue that continues. He is breaking down a lot, its a shame
If they could afford a limited minutes guy like a Kent Neilsson in the old days to work the PP he might last longer than in regular shift. But the price tag is high for that

With Kimmo hurt they might have to use Gus and Streit.

Knowin Kimmo, he won't miss a game. Timonen's a warrior, the guy would have to be on life support to sit one out!

Morin was ejected in last nights game & didn't play today. Not sure but it could be another suspension. If so it would be his 2nd in a week.

Sounds like the boy's got a temper. Fine with it though; I'd much rather have a dman with some mean in his game than one who plays passively.

Not good.

Somebody explain to this kid that we invested a high first round selection on him and he needs to further develop his skills. It's hard to do that while spending so much time in detention.

Guess at least this time I believe he was on the ice unlike last week when he left the bench as things happened.

You don't mess with the 3rd line. They're labeled the 3rd line, but they play 20 minutes a night in all situations, with Downie-Coots-Read making up our 2nd PP unit, and Coots-Read making up our (1st?) PK unit. Moving him up a line might actually decrease his TOI/G

I'd like to experiment with Akeson with G and Jake for a game or two, as a little test run. It worked well for a game last season.
