Jeff oniel on the NHL network called him a classy guy and saidhe'd give Neal the benefit of the doubt on that play.

I almost threw up. Neal is a punk.

- Briere

Yeah, that's pretty funny.

Neal doesn't even react when he skates through Marchand's head, and the only way that makes sense is if he knew exactly what he was doing. Which he did.

If they put Hartnell, Giroux and Voracek against the other team's best line, we'd lose by a lot and quite often.
- Jsaquella

So essentially based on the season to date they are half the time now good for nothing no shows

Reminds me of Messier sort of cross checking Trevor Linden from behind in the head while Linden was on his knees during the 94 finals, same kind of play but even more violent.

Must have missed all those cheap elbows the guy throws.
Neal is going to get a game or two at most, Thorton will get 10 or more.
Watch how this goes down.

- Marc D

I saw a tweet somewhere that said that the NHL only takes into account the past 18 months when handing out suspensions. Since Neal's last suspension was 20 months ago, they don't consider him a repeat offender. Isn't that some poop?

My guess is neal gets two games but , damn, he could have really hurt Marchand. Neal is a repeat offender too. I really can't stand that guy.

Thornton I always had respect for. Not anymore.

Yup, and that's crap. He and Thornton deserve the same number of games. Giving 1 guy 10 and the other 2 or 4 is injustice.

How much longer does this go on until a move is made? The D sucked last year. Didn't make a move inseason. Didn't make a move at the draft. Not making a move now. This team doesn't work. I get that they're young and developing. But that doesn't stop you from addressing a dire team need. I don't know how much more of this I can take. One of Hartnell, Simmonds or Downie and whatever picks neccessary need to be put on the block. This team cant afford to wait for free agency and years for Morin, Hagg and Ghost to develop. They need to do a deal similar to the Desjardins deal to be honest but I don't think they have the stones to pull the trigger.

If Lauridsen is playing lights out as reported in ADK. I want him to come up. Im pretty sure he will do a better job than Luke.

Neal should get the major suspension because of his dirt bag play and Neal should be apologizing to Orpik and the team for putting them in harms way

Not sure they will & I have no idea if they have any interest but I would consider signing OA London D Alex Basso.

Basso is a puck moving D who has a good shot, & produces points. He is the kind of D they are in need of going forward.

I feel the biggest reason for the lack of scoring is because the defense can't move the puck out of their own end quickly. Teams that move the puck through the neutral zone with speed generate better chances and more of them and are much harder to defend.

Actually, the MDZ for Schenn idea isn't that unrealistic. The Rangers need more physicality on their defense and have said that they want a defenseman back in a MDZ trade.

Del Zotto has been a routine healthy scratch for the Rangers and coach Alain Vigneault hasn't been impressed when he's played.

- Jsaquella

With Marc Staal suffering what looks like another concussion last night, I think the trading MDZ rumors go on hold

No official word yet from the team, but when he left the ice last night he slammed his helmet in frustration. Looked like he knew something was off. AV said after the game he just wasn't feeling right.

I think G has hit around 10 posts this year and I bet most of those came in losses. Hartnell made such a good play to get him the puck in the slot yesterday, too.

I really hope they win in Ottawa cause I don't give them much chance against Chicago or Montreal.

As a fellow PCS sufferer, I feel for the guy. It's such an awful time, you don't feel right at best, and at worst you have blinding headaches and dizzy spells, with a nice side dish of nausea.

Hopefully it's a minor one, with no lingering issues.
