I do believe that the majority of Lightning writers, commentors and fans or over looking Henri Ikonen. He's not as flashy as Drouin or as hard nosed at Erne, but he's a good all around player that put on a bit of weight and height over the summer and his numbers have vastly improved.

He's almost matched his point totals from last season in half the games. I see another Ondrej Palat or even a Valteri Filppula. Call me crazy, but I was right about Palat. Ikonen turns 20 on April 17th 2014 which would make him eligible for the AHL next season.

why are these not declarations of suspension?

Intention - did he intent to injur?
Point of contact - head? knee? shoulder? back? (and was it with intention?)
History (I think this is a MINOR factor compared to other things)
Rules - Were any rules of safety broken? (hit from behind, etc)
Victims Vulnerability - Was he willing? (if attacked) Was he defenseless when contact happened? (marchand was defenseless, orpik was NOT willing)

take these into account and give the (frank)ing suspension accordingly...if a guy breaks all these rules then (frank)ing suspend him for a whole season...its time to (frank)ing bare down and start handing out full season suspensions and way longer suspensios...enough of this history and injury bullpoop, I don't give a (frank) if you sucker punch a guy and hes injured or not. even if he finished the game im giving you a massive suspension

what a (frank)ing cheap shot ....he wasnt even on target twards marchand, he changed his route..(frank) that

if i were running this league there would be some pissed off players AND fans , but at leadt that bullpoop wouldnt happen
