He is annoying but not as much as Marchand

The fact that he looks identical to Bill Dautrieve has to win him some mercy points

I've had both knee injuries and concussions. The nice thing about a knee injury is at least I could watch TV. The poopty thing is that I blew out my knee when I was 15, and I am 31 now and it still hurts worse than the first time I was dumped. Especially if it gets cold out and I live north of Edmonton where it is always (frank)ing cold out.

Oh great, I already hate the cold and now it's going to be worse?

Well, at least I get to skate again once this is done healing.

Where does he defend it? I don't see defending, he said Thornton was wrong and will deserve the punishment he gets, how is that defending?

All he defends is that Thornton feels badly about doing it... What should a coach say? Nahhh F him he's not sorry he's a giant D-Bag? Nope i thought he played it the way it should be played to be honest.

"It’s pretty obvious when you look at it that (Thornton) did cross the line, but others did too"

This type of logic needs to be banished from the game. Its the same bullheaded logic the majority of Hockeybuzz users apply to every questionable hit. It's awful.

Not defending, it's true, others did cross the line ie: Neal.

It's a true statement based on logic. Not defending IMO.

I haven't defended anyone or any action I just state what I think about it with my own opinion pretty much, and I don't see any defending here to be honest.

It's a deflection. Its not taking responsibility. It's part of the problem with the current system.

He doesn't have to take responsibility, he didn't perform the action. He said his player was wrong, that's owning the fact, he has also stated they accept ANY punishment that is handed down because they know its deserved.

He also knows, because he was there, that other crap went on that was bush league.

Enough said, really!

Delfecting and not taking responsiblity encourages more stuff like this. Its terrible how shielded the players are by the teams and owners who employ them.
