If I had my choice between the two, I'd easily take RoR over Edler.

Also, Carlson is outscoring Edler, younger, and counted on heavily for his defense by the Caps, something they wouldn't be able to do out of Edler.

That makes absolutely no sense from either side. Why would the Caps give up a young up and coming Dman for Edler. And if the Canucks are moving Edler they wouldn't want a dman back, they need a top 6 forward that can help them score.

23 years old, putting up mid 30s in points, kills penalties, solid defensively. He's better than Edler all around at this point. So why trade him for Edler? That's lunacy.

I find this funny because I always thought the 2007-2012 Flames were the most comparable to the post-2005 Leafs. I guess that Leafs era is sort of a gold standard on how not to build a big-money team.

OReilly is good but he will never put something like 70 points in a 82 g seasons right ? hes more like an excellent 2 way forward
