I can tell yes

In all seriousness. Who would do Emelin + Beaulieu + 2nd for RoR?

Wow. These Canuck fan proposals are reminding me of the early Lou trade proposals...
- Iggysbff

Yeah, it's pretty astounding. I feel like they're Canuck fans more than they're hockey fans.

Most canucks fans only watch canucks games...I'd say 90% of them.

I'm in the 10%

i dont know enough about emelin to say one way or another if it's too much or too little. he seems like a pretty solid dman. nothing spectacular. maybe that package is abit steep

but the little i do know, i dont think the value is too far off because of beaulieu mostly.

but while the avs desperately need defence, ROR is a HUGE piece to their success.
he's a fantastic two way player.
not sure why theyd wanna trade him.

id assume the avs could easily get an emelin type or better for stastny. who has to be easier to swallow for them if moved

O'Reilly pissed in his own corn flakes when he signed that offer sheet. COL likely wants him gone after being forced to overpay him so early in his career.

MTL won't pay a steep price for him, if they are even targeting him, which is unlikely. Those who suggest Diaz, Beaulieu and a 2nd are delusional. Maybe, maybe Diaz and a 2nd and even that might be high.

Besides, two reasons why MTL is likely not interested in Reilly...... he is not producing according to his salary (only on pace for 50 pts.) and MTL needs a big RW rather than another LW or small center.... which O'Reilly is.

Oh, and Emelin or Subban...... not going anywhere...either of them. Cornerstone players those two are.

reilly can play mutiple positions

he gets anywhere from 50-60 pts, it's an absolute plus as he's so good defensively.
can play physical too.

im not saying u should want him or not. but he's worth far more than emelin alone. and a second doesnt do it. looking at the probabilities of that pick making an impact anytime soon does not offset the loss.

and if he could be convinced to take abit of apaycut to even 5 or 5.5 long term, any team would be getting good value.
make no mistake about good he's been for them.

let's not forget, we dont actually know that the avs are unwilling at all to resign ror because of his salary. this is a hb rumour. nothing more

RoR and Duchene don't look right together lately.

Something is up. But plz don't trade him.

Trade Staz, omg.

OK.

From now on we'll just propose giving away the Canucks valuable assets for scraps.

I think you are under evaluating O'reilly. He is good, very good. Diaz and 2nd is far from his value. Diaz and Beaulieu and 2nd is still a little off depending on how Roy and Sakic feels about Beaulieu ( pretty sure Roy loves Beaulieu, but could be wrong).

I can see why habs are going for him. But i'm still not sure why they would give Emelin in that trade since it doesnt fill a big void in the team and Emelin's departure would leave a big one.
Like I said, we have a couple of 2 way fwd that can do the job, so giving Emelin for another doesn't make sense.

I would think so too, but is he still consider young. He is not old and in his prime, but classify him as young dman is wrong
- Frank0721

i wouldn't say gorges is young. but he's not terribly old. he could see colorado through their current window, if he can stay healthy while blocking all those shots.

I know, he would be a good fit there. Beside that one injury, he was pretty much healthy throughout his career. 29 years old is really not old, but it's still not consider young in NHL

good post

dude is a two way player. a really good one.

to point to his 50+ point totals doesnt even close to tell the whole story.

im not saying he's of bergeron caliber at this point, or ever neccasarily will be elite like him. but bergy has 64, 57 and 52 in his last few full seasons. was only pace for high 50's again last year and is only pace for high 40's or low 50's this year i believe. u think boston ever questions his value??

yep.

i think this makes more sense. he'd absolutely help that atrocious defence, all at a much lower cost.

emelin for ror??! no...
