Here is a lineup that could work when everyone is healthy without making a trade.

VanRiemsdyk Bozak Kessel - Because Bozak and Kessel play well together and Kessel and VanRiemsdyk are a good combo

Lupul Kadri Clarkson - Because Lupul and Kadri were great together last year and Clarkson needs to play with good players and get on a streak

Bolland Smith Raymond - Bolland and Raymond were a very good pair at the start of the year. Smith has 4 goals let him play with good players and he will get more

Keulimen McLement Orr/Mclearen - Orr/Mclearen can both fight and are about equal players so i dont care who plays. Keuli is a good checker and that the only spot left. You need Mclement for sure.

Phenuf Gardiner - Gardiner is playing better. But still needs to earn his spot. Phenuf
is for sure the #1 D.

Franson Liles - Franson needs to get going. Liles was a plus 2 with 17:51 ice time.

Brennan Gunnarsonn - Brennan has earned a chance. 11 goals (top 10 in AHL) and 23 points. He is also a plus 1. Gunnarsonn would be better not playing 25 minutes a game. He would be a solid D.

Reimer/Bernier - They both great.

So i would send down Fraser to AHL and he can work on his speed. Ranger could be the 7th D or sent down. Morgan Rielly can be sent to World Juniors and then CHL or take Rangers spot as the 7th D.

PP1 - VanRiemsdyk Bozak Kessel Phenuf Gardiner
PP2 - Raymond Kadri Lupul/Bolland Liles/Brennan Franson
PK1 - McLement Keulimen Phenuf Gunnarsonn
PK2 - Raymond Bolland Liles Franson

Just my thoughts. I am kind of bored.....

Im so glad there is a game tonight.

Sunday games are a rarity for the Leafs, so it almost feels like a holiday

Im dreading this coming weeks schedule, but you're right, anything can happen. GLG.

I might have to take a holiday from family dinner and such, grab a box of brown pop and some snacks, and re-acquaint myself with the big screen.

forwards are still not where they should be on the breakout. REjects.

- mykokes

Exactly, it drives me wild every game. A failed breakout results in a defensive turnover and the puck trapped in our end. Wingers usually not in position or defence can't make a decent pass.

Based on your spelling it looks like Leafs are going to get a new 4th line.

Liles will help that.

Rielly, Gardiner and Phaneuf are good with this.

@ Leafsrumor.

Fraser is the only guy on our back end with any jam. You'd seriously consider keeping Ranger up before him ? I know he's slow, but the two bulls on a hill story comes to mind. We NEED Fraser. Just my opinion.

Ranger and Fraser equally bad, but at least Fraser drops the mits and is a team first guy.

Go with one puck mover on each pairing

Gardiner - ?
Rielly -?
Liles - ?

If you want Rielly in the lineup.

All righty then. Things to do.

Quick look at the stats would show that the leafs combo would come in 3rd

How much is the leafs defence to blame?

- MTL1

Look at the number of shots each tandem faces. That's the biggest stat.

Easiest way? Plan meals so that on Sundays like this that Leafs play you have a pork butt in the slow cooker

Yeah true but he needs to get back like last year. I think Brennan needs a chance. But Ranger last year was plus 16 8 goals and 17 assists. So i guess Brennan might not even play good and get claimed (if he has played enough games).

Yup.

Don't get me wrong, there are few who haven't wanted to punch Marchand in the face at one time or other, but that is NOT the way to do it

- lumlums

didn't like the play but this was only a matter of time. Marchand has been been writing checks for a few years now and someone finally cashed one.

We don't always beat Corsi.

But when we do, we allow 50 shots.

Am I the only one who hopes he's out for a little while? We all talk about how we can't wait until he gets his, he just got it. I know it's pretty taboo around here to wish injury on anyone but maybe this is the only way that rat learns that what goes around comes around.

I doubt a lot of tears are shed.

I will admit Im still confused how Orpik got hurt. Those shots, dirty as they were, weren't all that hard. Stretcher and everything. I dunno.
