This internet battle isn't even close...one side is getting pummelled .

In "defence" of Gardiner and his giveaways, seems to me he's one of a few D that's been given the green light to jump into the play and bring some offence to our back end. Rielly, Phaneuf & Gardiner are all guilty of making plays that turn the puck over regularly, but they're the only D with the skills/hands to do so.
Picture Gunnarson, Ranger, and omg Fraser, attempting an end to end rush, or even carrying the puck through the neutral zone !
People chirp about being outshot badly and lack of secondary scoring, and rightfully so, but when our D turns the puck over trying to rectify that problem, people jump all over them. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Doesn't mean they should be traded or sent down, they're just doing what the coach asks of them and what the score/momentum dictates. They are doing their job.
