I agree, but it's hard to go deep often when you can't trust your line to give you protection for long enough.

However, they probably should roll Tannenhill out of the pocket more often.

Yes very true!

1) Pacioretty must have had a bit of a flashback but the plays were so different, not really a big deal other than the unfortunate outcome.

2) Looked more dangerous than it was, imo. One of the first things I learned in Pee-Wee is how to take a hit. Prust gets hurt often because he doesn't know how to do this and places himself in bad spots.

3) Brière has been a nice surprise for me. Didn't think he was going to play this well. All that being said, it'll be interesting to see how he and Galchenyuk reacts once the team starts to lose a few games and they are still getting completely shafted for ice time. Go Moen! (What a (frank)en joke)

4) It's a good thing Price is there on most nights. Otherwise we'd see alot more of the entertaining but terrible hockey that was the third period in Jersey.

6) Gorges doesn't get that much credit because as excellent as he is defensively, he is as bad offensively. Yes, he made a nice pass last night, but he also misses many easy breakout passes. I'm not bashing him at all, just saying that when you start to have guys that can play on both sides of the puck (Subban, Markov on most nights, Emelin once he's back to game shape), then guys like Gorges get less attention and that's ok.

7) Gallagher was the "finisher" on the Eller-Galchenyuk plays. With 51-67, his job is to go get the puck, so he's late getting to rebounds. He's definitely as valuable, if not more so, on this line.

8) As Carey goes, so go the Canadiens. Still applies.

9) I don't think they get smoked in Buffalo. If they really think they are playing their best right now, then they are stupid... and I don't think they are that. They've gotten away with some sub-par games and know that. I see them coming out strong and "righting the ship" vs. Buffalo before having a let down and a wake-up call vs. LA.

10) Tough sched. Hard to imagine they won't go through a little skid somewhere in there.
