“He wasn’t far from the boards and I pushed him pretty hard,” said Erne, who also received a game misconduct for the hit. “I thought it was a dive and I thought everybody else did, too. I wouldn’t have even gotten a penalty if he didn’t dive into the boards.”

He also said that Drouin could have absorbed the hit standing up, and avoided injury.

“If he dives and goes head first he’s going to hurt himself,” added Erne, who also knocked Murphy out of the game with a shoulder on shoulder check before stealing the puck and scoring the game’s first goal."

He drilled him. All numbers. No reason for that hit to take place

Miller said that informal talks were "just exploratory, get to know each other" rap sessions. No different then one of your buds telling you that he and his one of his acquaintances are "just friends, we're not dating".

Does anyone think that King Henrik's new contract makes Luongo's not so bad now?

Lucic doesn't have great acceleration, but he's not as slow as you might think, and you still need guys that will go into the corners etc
- Rayven

(frank) Lucic and Boston.

No. Luongo and Lundqvist's contracts end at the same time and salary doesn't really matter because of how much the cap will be going up. Anyways Henrik's isn't so good either. Signing a goalie for more than 6 years is always trouble.

Plus we will probably have another lockout before both contracts expire and both will be amnestied

You think so?

Isn't the new CBA for another 8 years or something?

Went to my first Sudbury Wolves game of the season. What a (frank)ing poop show it turned out to be.

Sudbury outshot Sarnia 63-30 and won the game 7-6 in overtime. Sudbury D was a (frank)ing train wreck all night and the goalie looked like he was drunk. Winning goal was scored when the Sarnia goalie played the puck behind his net right to the Sudbury player. Tape to (frank)ing tape. I never saw a goalie skate off the ice that fast. I must admit that I was disappointed that he didn't go all Rask as he went off but I felt bad for the kid.

Crisp scored 2 but man, he is far from even AHL ready. Decent shot but below average speed. For a big guy (listed at 6'4, 215 pounds), rarely finishes a check and when he does, he is super soft. He should be tearing it up playing on the top line with Baptiste and Camapgna. Baptiste on the other hand is a machine. Skates like the wind, hits and produces. Very good prospect for Buffalo.

I liked Baptiste. I wanted the habs to draft him.

Emelin has been struggling so far. But having him on the 2nd pair puts Diaz on the 3rd pair, and Diaz is having the time of his life against the bottom 6 of the other teams.

The Corsi adepts think Diaz should go back with Gorges, and Emelin with whoever is in the lineup between Murray and Bouillon. Seems like Diaz/Gorges fared better possession wise than Gorges/Emelin.

Hopefully he gets back up to speed, because when he's on the ice, the Habs often get stuck in their zone.

I think Diaz and Emelin should be the 2nd pairing.

I think Diaz counted for a lot more possession wise than people think. And I think Emelin is better for the possession than Gorges. He's better when supporting the attack, and is stronger in puck recovery.

I could be wrong though, maybe Gorges is the one who gets hatred for nothing.
