TG this is a good point.....pro sports is essentially a game of adjustments and who can stay ahead of the competition......I think the pk issues are more a little adjustment here and there than a complete overhaul.......

There's one more thing - the players have to play to their talent level. Need talent, strategy and effort.

We don't have to trade them...cut 'em, release...get 'em off the books.

We could have kept Fro this year, but we wouldn't have acquired Versteeg. But after this season it would have been difficult to keep Frolik and we may have missed out on Versteeg.

No offense, the league still has it's share of teams that can push this roster around. Your idealism does not fit. The Hawks got by last year in a shortened regular season without this (though Bollig seemed to know his role better last year).

This guy will be an ideal call up for the occasional regular season game - just to patrol the competition and something this organization needed.

Better than the bag of pucks Beach should have warranted.

So, on a team built for speed and the ability to roll 4 lines you want to add a guy who can't skate, can't play hockey and will be on the ice for 3 minutes max? And why? I think your realism is skewed. No offense though. Fun fact for you. You do know that fighting has no to minimal effect on the outcome of the games? In fact, the team that LOSES the fight actually has a slightly better chance of winning the game.

Yes...Steeger needs a few more months before he's fully healed and he's a great guy to have around no doubt.
