Fellas it was a pleasure spending the night with you. Have a good night everyone.

Missing 25% of the team but the effort was there. It was a Pens night all the way....get that dawg off my loan 5-1!

Got to admit, I didn't see that result coming tonight. Malkin out, I expected the worst. Alot of shots on the net, Fleury shined. The role players filled their roles very nicely. This Despres guy needs to stay, even when Scuds and Martin get back.

Hope geno is back for Boston and Dupes is ok.

The penguins have had great success against western conference teams the last few years.

Great team game tonight. Megna deserves to be on this roster. Since he's been up I've seen speed, shot and a skillset that is NHL capable.

As far as Letang goes, I just don't get beating a dead horse anymore. Every single day there is someone talking crap about the guy. Gunnar breaking down his mistakes has taken it too far. (great write up on Sid, then wrecks it by bashing Letang...again)

Everyone can acknowledge he isn't in top form. Still I'll support the guy and give him credit for the type of player he is. Which is a high risk, high reward type of player.

I guess I'm too old to bash a kid everyday about the same thing over and over. Throw in the fact we aren't even at the halfway point in the regular season, the team is doing just fine except for a fan base alienating a key player if they are going to make a run at the cup.

I'll tell you one guy that knows Letang isn't playing up to his standards and that's Letang. Everyone else's opinion really means nothing.

When you sign a 8 year 58 million dollar contract you deserve to be held accountable for your atrocious play especially when it was debatable before you got that money if you were even worth that much.

I still give some sort of edge to the first win against Boston but it was definitely a good night.

I'm happy either way. Different victories against different styled teams. Also different approach from our side one each.

ill be the first to say i have a ton of criticism about him, but i will also say it is largely warranted. if i didnt think he could do so much better, then i wouldnt be so upset. however, the one thing i will say is that i dont think his mistake are for lack of effort, or laziness, or anything of the sort. to me, that is really the only unforgivable sin. but he really does need to just figure himself out and play within his game. he has done it before.

If you watch what he did closely, and you all know I do, a lot of his saves weren't saves, he just stopped the puck.

Hey he had a truck load to stop tonight, and he only let one go in the net.

However if you look, he couldn't catch a fly in his glove, he just wasn't feeling it. What he did do well, he got in front of the puck, was tall on his knees and got his angles right.

So a great game when he wasn't feeling it.

Spot on. But I still don't know why the bashing on MAF. The guy kept us in the game and we just took our chances and scored.

In my eyes he's becoming a VERY SOLID defensive defenseman. His awareness is awesome.

I wouldn't dare touching the NISKANEN/DESPRES pairing.

If a guy just "stops" every single puck, I'd be okay with that guy on my team.

I'm not. Minus Malkin, Suds and Martin I expect a 5-2 Sharks win.

Yep. On training camp I was the first one to point out this aspect of his game while watching it. He was as fast as Letang and perhaps faster on speed drills.
