It was a bad decision to put those gus out.

It was a worse decision to have those guys on the roster at this point.

- Aetherial

Thing is, those guys will never get going

Let alone against a team like SJ, and if he wants to get them going, he deployed them at the worst possible time

- peddy-93

those guys were going a lot better last year and earlier this season.

Maybe he thought putting them in that situation, with the sharks on their heels would give them a confidence boost.

hold on, so your telling me that a coach taking a timeout in a game 7 isnt going to help his team settle down?

the cup champs from a year or two ago are starting a comeback with 10 mins left in the game 7 and you are saying it would have made no difference..

you see, this is why you are just clueless.

anything hockey related you say from here on out, or have said in the past just got tarnished by this comment.

congrats.

They had TV time-outs as well. What was a 30 second time-out going to accomplish that multiple TV timeouts couldn't?

You should never put those guys on the ice when you have just tied the game against a top team in the NHL. Ever.

Why waste a shift to try and get these guys 'going'? Use that shift to put on a line who gives you a better chance at scoring.

This is the logic Carlyle uses that I don't understand, and it's not even logical.

I'm just trying to figure it out too. Who knows what was going on on the bench. In any case, it was obviously a mistake when all's said and done.

As an Ottawa fan I'm hoping the Leafs finish December 4-5 games under .500... Will give my Sens a shot at bouncing back in...

But seriously, the Leafs really need to address their #1C position.. Have ANY depth in that position is better than what they currently have..

What would the team look like if they had not signed Bozak? Bozak is a decent#2 guy but definitely not a #1.

- riceroni

A first line center isn't all that big of an issue when the team is healthy because the first line isn't the problem. Shot differential is a huge issue right now but swapping Bozak out for someone else probably wouldn't make a big difference because that line is already producing. Defense is by far the biggest problem. If they could get a few more players capable of clearing their own zone they'd fix a lot of what's wrong with this team
