Lupul, JVR for a few, Bozak for a bunch, Kadri for a few, Kessel playing hurt...

Clarkson out for 10

Bolland out.

I wonder if any team has yet to play a single game with their team intact.

I'm sure people gave him credit... People did say our team was able to compete with the Bruins finally, when before we got pummeled with Wilson.

Not saying he's a bad coach, but his system just isn't working in this era of the NHL. And his player selections are baffling at best. Are you gonna say he's not responsible for our loss last night? Who puts on a 4th line of non-hockey players against one of the leagues best teams after tying it 2-2 and gaining some momentum?

As an Ottawa fan I'm hoping the Leafs finish December 4-5 games under .500... Will give my Sens a shot at bouncing back in...

But seriously, the Leafs really need to address their #1C position.. Have ANY depth in that position is better than what they currently have..

What would the team look like if they had not signed Bozak? Bozak is a decent#2 guy but definitely not a #1.

- riceroni

The Sens will be ahead of the Leafs before the end of December, with at least 10 days to spare.

Yup, it can't be used as an excuse.

a couple 3rd liners or 1 st liner and 1 4th liner being out for the season is far different than losing a different combination of 2 or more of our better forwards every few games.

Did someone point out that all but 2 of our top 12 forwards have spent time out this season.

Also, there has been some pretty wide speculation that Kessel has played injured for the last couple weeks.

... I think I saw a movie once that involved some "wide speculation"

Bourque has been on/off the roster because of small injuries but yeah, you can consider the Habs close to being completely healthy.

Drewiske doesn't count.

Thing is, those guys will never get going

Let alone against a team like SJ, and if he wants to get them going, he deployed them at the worst possible time

One of only 7 players in the league to avg a ppg over the last 3 seasons. (I think I heard that yesterday)

... the injuries are just fcuking ridiculous though.

Why the hyperbole?

You're putting all the blame on him... ultimately it's up to the players if they want to buy in to the system or not. Last year, they were, this year, they're not.

Why is it that you never responded to that other post in the last thread that I brought here?

I flat out say that a lot of the players aren't playing good hockey, and that's the reason they're losing.

When I say the refs are hurting the Leafs, or injuries are hurting the team, I'm not using those things as excuses. They're contributing factors to why the players aren't playing the hockey they should. Along with immaturity- which is one of the biggest flaws of young teams.

And to your follow-up, patronizing post(that you'd be warning other posters about), no, I'm not going to be wondering what happened. I'm just not one of the fans going crazy right now, saying they should fire the coach and/or blow up the team.

Doubt it. With the game being played as fast as it is and hard hitting with an emphasis on blocking shots, injuries seem all too common now a days. Groins, broken bones in the foot, shoulder injuries and concussions seem like everyday occurrences.
