they've been stupid and undisciplined, but some of these calls are marginal, and at the same time they've looked the other way a few times already for the wings. blatant x-check midway through the second in front of the net, interference by the guy whom hartnell ended up punching in the back of the head. 2 guys falling on mason without being shoved during the 5 on 3. no call. goal stands. it's pathetic.
- hammarby31

don't forget the interference on timonen which you could clearly see in the replay while they were gushing about the wings getting an odd man rush from it

Being honest the refs have called everything on us and none of their interference, goalie interference, or embellishment.
- FlyersGrace

red wings have always played disciplined hockey. they are doing it now. hopefully some calls go our way in the 3rd.

Some marginal stuff, but when a team constantly plays a brain dead, undisciplined style, you don't get the benefit of the doubt.

Having Rinaldo on the PK is totally idiotic.

like the mishandle at the blueline that turned into a breakaway?
- hammarby31

I thought it was more of an ill advised pinch... Oh well I'm watching this poop through my fingers what do ya expect?

B. Schenn is 0-10 at the dot. That said, he's been the best Schenn on the ice tonight.

I can count the number of botched passes on their part on one hand... everything is tape to tape to players in stride... it's freaking beautiful to watch.

Contrast that with the Flyers... lol.

all true .. .but when one team is being so obviously stupid (ie, Hartnell punching the guy) they're not gonna get the benefit of the doubt.
- FlyerGuy

If a guy straight up tackles me and doesn't get called, I'd punch him square in the face. He got off lucky.

teams missing their better players has never stopped the Flyers from grabbing zero points out of the mouth of two.

He has the potential to win 6-10. He's got lots of potential. Potential, potential, potential.

That's all he freaking has.

If they're calling everything on you send nothing for them, at least hurt someone for your 2.

hockey in the west is so different. I watch a ton of hawks games (in fact I'm going to the flyers/hawks on the 11th with the dude that put pardy's helmet on his head) and thus I watch a lot of the wings games when they play the hawks. like it or not most good teams from the western conf play a disciplined, more x's and o's, less physical game than we are used to seeing. it will take some getting used to having detroit in the east but this is the kind of game they play and the reason they have been so good all these years. jmo.
