I think it can easily be both. Confidence for sure, but its slowly becoming less and less transparent that he's not that intelligent on the ice. Great skill, but lacks the smart decision-making skills that a guy like Rielly already has.

I wouldn't say down-right stupid. I've never had a conversation with him so I can't really judge on a personal level.
But he makes stupid mistakes on the ice that a player with more "hockey IQ" wouldn't make. And that's only my opinion.

buffalo is 'working hard' and improving their play since Nolan took over, when will their 'W's" start rolling in? They won't cause they just aren't very good.
