Neither of those teams were even a consideration for the playoffs last year nor did they start out 6-1. Leafs are a better team than they are playing like, and he's completely right. An effort twice as good as Montreal with a worse result is better than another phoned in game with a 4-3/2 result.

gardiner is working his wee legs to the bone....he just has no clue where to go, when to pass.....etc. etc.
As much as I'd love to see some balls out effort and consistency for once this year....this is a bigger problem imo.

the 4th win was vs the sharks.

reims has always played well against them since.

half of hockey at this level is confidence, i feel thats the one area Carlyle truely lacks ...getting his players feeling confident.

we saw it last year, we are seeing it this year. if someone starts slumping, its like they will never get out.

the problem seems to be carlyle's inability to adjust.

he gets his players thinking way too damn much when all they should be doing is getting out there and just playing.

not every guy is a cerebral player.... some are more instinct and reaction.
