yup. If you're gonna go and make claims like those 5 games are a total writeoff already, you shouldn't have a problem with it.

It is not quite "tank nation" thinking, but if the Leafs really look bad enough, then there is a chance that we actually get a return for some players because we're willing to let them go at the trade deadline.

Of course Toronto will be just close enough to not trade anyone, and make a futile late season run, falling just short. We've seen this movie before.

Corsi/Fenwick takes into account a lot more than shots on goal, namely attempts and possession stats, and it takes into account when possession occurs. for instance, you get a lot less credit for increased shot attempts and possession when you're down by 4 goals in the third period.

If you can take a stat and improve on it then why not. Just like shots and +/-, Corsi is not infallible...but if you have more data available today than you did yesterday..I would use it
