Can't get much hotter than 7-0-1 in the last 8 games though.

And if Price plays like this all year, we could actually have some success come playoffs time.

But the Habs didn't win by much...

Everyone seems to talk about Clarkson and his production.

Stephen Weiss has 3 points in 22 games this season and makes 4.9million.

Imagine if he was in Toronto

Ya.

Just making it 5 years instead of 7 would be great.

Those last years are going to be very Luongo-esque

Hmm, so it's almost like teams can have off periods, or sometimes even games! And then sometimes teams pull out of slumps. Weird. I've always wondered why they don't just pump all the stats into NHL94, and see who wins.
- prock

So, if we accept that the Leafs could fluke out a win in that stretch, will you accept that given the way they are playing, coupled with the fact they are mixed in an extended losing streak, that it will be almost shocking if they manage to win more than 1 game in that stretch?

Cause that's the whole point.

This would be a tough stretch of games if they were still winning. It's really (frank)ing tough when they are losing.

nobody would be talking about Clarkson if the Leafs were winning/playing well. Detroit is playing solid.

- peddy-93

I'd imagine it's pretty evenly distributed though, to avoid the cap recapture penalties.

If I was Sather, I would have traded Mdz+Hank for Yakupov, Dubnyk and Shultz+picks.

Than sign Moulson in the offseason with the money they saved on Hank and Gieco

Oh, I have no illusions of the Leafs coming out of this stretch with a big winning streak. Yeah, they wouldn't if they were on top of their game.

But odds are, and I'll place a wager on it, they get at least one win.

Pretty sure Carlyle's got a winning record since joining the Leafs.
Hard to justify why he should be the guy paying for the leafs slump.

I missed the 1st period, but the Leafs looked a lot better in the 2nd and 3rd than they have in other games. Played to the system, stopped playing tentatively, and went to the net hard. If they build on that, the ship could right.

Better win the next 2 because the 5 after that could be all losses. Bruins, kings, blues, hawks and penguins
- Snagglepuss

will be a 12 game losing streak after this stretch and we will be a few games out of the playoffs.
