Jake Gardiner Corsi tonight: 54%. Team Corsi w/out Gardiner: 21.8% (!). Definitely the guy the Leafs need to trade.

I was being generous in giving them a chance at beating the Sens ..Thats far from a given..
They lost last night...close doesn't count... - Fruitcakenipple
You're right, they could never in a million years beat a top team. LIke say, the Penguins or Ducks. Nosireebob.

Not a fan of the CORSI crap, it's just another stat, and people seem to think it's the king of stats. But Gardiner has actually been fairly responsible this year, depsite what people may say/think.
Has HonestHockey lost his bet at this point? Was it end of November? And not only is Gardiner not sent down, he's climbed the depth chart? |

Simply not true. They didn't lose by much to one of the hottest and best teams in the league last night. You can't simply write five games off. - prock

Doesnt matter.
He lost the bet in October. Gardiner needs waivers to be sent down. Therefor, he wont be. |

Not really the point. If one of the best and hottest teams in the league gets by the Leafs by a single goal, and empty netter, regardless of how bad they are playing, sure it sinks in that claiming the next five games, no matter who they are playing, you can't simply call them losses.
I'd gladly bet any one of you they don't lose those five games. Odds are on my side.

Wait. A team like the Stars beat the Hawks!!!!! Isn't that impossible? I'm surprised they even played that game, instead of just resting the Stars, and awarding two points to the Hawks. |

The 1st period last night was men against boys...The sharks took the 2-0 lead and than took the foot of the gas...They allowed the Leafs back in the game...Happens..

Guy has been the best goaltender in the last 4-5 years.... but comitting for so long at such a high price on a 31 year old player.... Scary. - Scabeh
It's the age and term more than anything, he deserves the $, but thats a scary contract. |

Hmm, so it's almost like teams can have off periods, or sometimes even games! And then sometimes teams pull out of slumps. Weird. I've always wondered why they don't just pump all the stats into NHL94, and see who wins.

Can't get much hotter than 7-0-1 in the last 8 games though.
And if Price plays like this all year, we could actually have some success come playoffs time. |

Everyone seems to talk about Clarkson and his production.
Stephen Weiss has 3 points in 22 games this season and makes 4.9million.
Imagine if he was in Toronto |
