What did you guys think of gardiners performance tonight? Good, okay, bad? I thought he played "okay" but could of done better offensively. Rielly on the other hand was a workhorse, (frank) he looks like phaneuf when he brings the puck up, like they gallop - Mapleleafs_91
Rielly didn't impress me, but he was playing with Fraser, so I won't hold it against him.
Gardiner looks like he's handing a live grenade whenever he touches the puck in the attacking zone. WTF? |

the leafs were completely outmatched, absolutely, fair enough.
but at least lets see a hit or two, maybe a half decent tussle, run a goalie, bully a couple superstars, crackerjack couture in the open ice, make a couple simple plays to the net and crash it......christ man, anything to show you have some life left in you....some of these fringe guys should be battling for their lives out there.
I just don't see enough heart. - Barx
Blue and white disease
AND, Worst of all, worse than anything else that we can imagine, this team has reverted back to being the mentally weakest team in the league.
Just no guts whatsoever.
It looks like they have pretty much checked out.
Thank God we got Clarkson to add some jam to our forward lines. |

He had one of his best games as a leaf. Problem is there's no one on this team right now that can cycle the puck with him. |

Are you insane? The guy was skating all over the place, workhorse and yes fraser brought him down obviously. Rielly defended pretty good as well, i just didnt like that last play but hes young and had a good game so whatever.
Gardiner seemed lost out there |

he constantly impresses me......one of the few bright spots beside the usuals (Kessel, Phaneuf etc) |

I'd like to see him with JVR and Bolland.
We know Lupul works with Kessel. Kadri can get down to the third line if he's going to dog it. He got a bad case of payday disease. |

hes unreal and got increasing minutes by the coach, i would love to see him be paired with phaneuf for one whole game legit to see how he can handle the minutes and how he performs at another level |

i think the bolland/clarkson combo was planned from the beginning of the season, just bolland got injured shortly after clarkson came back. jvr would be interesting on that line too.
guess we'll have to wait till january to see it...i just hope they can play .500 hockey until then. |

This team has completely lost the identity that made them successful last year. Teams did not look forward to playing the leafs last year because it meant bruises and taking punishing hits for 60 minutes. Now they look softer than newborn kittens who were just washed with fabric softener. They aren't finishing hits and have no intimidation factor. |

It would basically end our season if he went down for any period of time, but I hope that it wold shut some people up, at least.
This team with Phaneuf would be making NFL scores look conservative. We'd be losing by touchdowns. |

Part of Leafs offensive troubles is lack of contribution from bottom-6. 4th line tonight of Orr, Smithson, McLaren has 0 points all season. |

One game Mactavish iced a fourth line of Stortini, Macintyre and Strudwick.
