I agree. Pulled the plug on him way to quickly. In my eyes he put the foundation together and got it pulled from underneath him. Only think I didn't like was that extended trade freeze. |

At least the Sens are down to the Panthers 2 - 0 too. At this point, at least the quality of the opponent that we're playing gets a tough game off of the schedule. |

Liles is, and has always been, one of the top 3-4 defensemen on this team.
Nonis needs to call him up and make Carlyle put him in the game. At this point, both their jobs are on the line.
Liles is the only guy of the three who will continue to be employed by the team regardless. - Leeman4Gilmour
And if he plays good it at least wouldn't hurt his trade value. Nonis needs to get some balls then |

Burke's team made the playoffs last year.
This is year one of the Dave Nonis/Lieweke era. Doesn't look pretty. |

Will Carlyle allow Rielly to play for us in the World Juniors? - HabsRUs
No, our team is full of idiots from the top to the bottom. |

Bolland is the only reason I haven't thrown in the towel on this team entirely.
He is pretty much the only thing that could bail us out right now: arguably the game's best third line center who provides defensive competence and some secondary scoring. |

Doesn't look any better than Reimer and costs 1.9 million more.
He's the starter when he can put together a couple wins. First man to do that gets the job at this point. - Leeman4Gilmour
Way more composed than reimer. Reimer flops, and occasionally his flops might stop a lot of shots because he's a long goalie. The soft goals on Bernier will come to an end if they let him play more than a game or two in a row. Just my opinion. |

trading up to draft Biggs, who should have been a 2nd rounder, is pretty high up there. |

Bolland's 2nd in value to Kessel at this point for the LEafs... obviously given their record without him |

Did they already give the final decision? It would be great if Rielly can go and dominate that tournament. Canada could really use him. |

Boone Jenner had way better numbers at every level than Biggs at the time of draft.
was ridiculous to take Biggs ahead of him. And that was my opinion at the time and I wasn't by any stretch alone on the subject.

Absolutely. Without Burkie holding the whip team is soft as poop. Like our pudgy GM.
Last years team was built in Burke's image and they played like it. |

Yeah that was a mistake. But Burke also had scouts out there writing their reports on certain guys and probably took that into consideration. While that doesn't look so good now, at least he pulled the trigger on a guy they wanted. I'm a glass half full guy btw. |

burning a 2nd rounder to move up from a really late first to a late first?
rather have the 2 picks. Not like he was moving into top half of the draft... just wasn't a smart move. |
