I'm well aware of teh luxury tax. Apparently it is nothing to these teams because they keep going over that line.

My favorite team growing up... It's tough to watch all their great players move when they couldn't afford them.

so i was reading how jeremy roenick, pat lafontaine, joe sackic, and patrick roy were trying to be in a group acquiring the coyotes years back and be in their front office.

everyone on that list is now taken except roenick.

Pitching was needed and still is, I don't like the Ellsbury signing we could have grabbed Beltran. I hope Cano walks becaue for as good as he is, that's as LAZY as he is as well, I thought they learned there lesson with A Rod and horrible contracts but I guess not. I like the McCann signing because we needed a catcher but Ells bury is hurt WAY to much for that kind of deal. Still need a 3rd baseman if dumbass get's suspended and a closer IMO.

Hopefully dumbass does get suspended, but I'm a little (I said a LITTLE) torn on that. They would be off the hook for that $, but then, like you said, they still need a corner man, because Nunez isn't it. A-Rod is still the best option at 3rd, unless they can swing a trade somewhere.

Tanaka out of Japan could be an option, when he comes out, and they're hoping Kuroda wants to come back for one more. They have an offer on the table for him.

If they grab Tanaka, Cano might be a goner for sure.....maybe. I don't like Kuroda coming back we need to get younger in the starting pitiching area. I read Omar Infante has an offer from the Yanks to play 2nd or 3rd and they signing Kelly Johnson as well.
