There's also tons of very good NHL players that never made a WJHC team, it's not that big a of a deal. Of course it's fun as a fan to see your team's top prospect(s), but I think TSN does a hell of a job over-hyping the tourney.

Wouldn't mind it. They should also hire a few analysts that actually know a lot about prospects/junior hockey as well then. I doubt Ward, Dreger, etc know much more than most hardcore fans.

They still do.

I predict Canada to be 4th. Very young team and lack of experience is what's going to kill them.

Also no BBC so they lose on that front.

I highly doubt that's the case. Especially since the head coach has a major influence on everything and if the team doesn't succeed then he won't even be around next season.

I thought this at first too but the coach and GM would have to know that they were for sure going to be running the team next year. So I just chalk it up to racism.

It's always nice to see your prospect in the tournament but it's not the end of the world. There's notable players left off every year. It doesn't make Nurse any less of a prospect. There was just something they thought wasn't going to jive. There's lots of guys that people could be complaining about.
Does the camp roster not look small to a lot of people? Only two goalies and they're only cutting two forwards and one D?
I'm most surprised by Nurse, Poirier, Connor Brown and Matt Finn. Not that I think they were locks but the fact that they didn't get a sniff.

I'm not as surprised as everyone else by Max Domi. He's a player that screams "I'm out for mine and that's all that matters". He is also a total turnover machine....I wonder why the Leafs didn't draft him? Maybe they'll trade for him now.
