By using the argument that Nurse wasn't chosen based on his Subway series they then shouldn't have taken half of the players they did! The OHL had trouble gelling as a team against the Russians and all of Ekblad, Horvat, Pelech, Bigras shouldnt have made it. They all looked disorganized. This stinks of a bad excuse. The commentators during the game were all commenting on it. The game I watched Nurse was just as good or better than most dmen on the ice.

Jankowski as head scout for hockey Canada is also a joke. He has an absolutely terrible track record in his scouting past. Nurse omission is not the only poopty decision here. There are many highly questionable picks and omissions.

that's all buddy was sayin. and it's true.

the sea dogs and the mooseheads were juggernauts. no one is saying the q doesn't have any solid teams.
but just for argument those teams are anomalies for the most part the year they won, it wasn't like anyone else in the Q was even close to them either.

In other news, Oilers blogger isn't happy that Oilers prospect isn't treated like the high draft spot he was chosen at.

Not that I don't like Nurse, I do, but the fact that you are dissatisfied tells more to your loyalty to the Oilers than lack of intelligence in Hockey Canada.

I mean, there are 6 players including a goaltender from the QMJHL that were invited. It's just that there weren't any QMJHL D-Men invited. I don't think there is a bias.

As far as elite talent goes - the kinds of players that lead the NHL and get selected to WJHC teams - I wonder if the q is actually all that far behind. Struck me that it was more of a depth disparity
