Blues better hope Halak stays healthy, Elliott won't get the job done for them.

Pirri could get the bus ticket, but might they move one of Kostka or Brookbank in trade instead? Lots of teams looking for defenceman because of injuries.

- RickJ

Possible but I think the Hawks paid 8 dmen and they will keep 8.

It has happened to some teams...Canucks and Flames a few years ago when 3 dmen go down at once right before the playoffs.

Pirri could stay until Bickell returns but I'm thinking he doesn't make it that long...

His ice time is dwindling and they probably feel he would be better off in Rockford than playing once a week in Chgo.

Circus trip ends with an impressive 5-2 win. Hawks are set up for a great December. On The Blackhawks: My Fox Chicago:http://bit.ly/1eDT6X6

Nice work Al....i've always like Vermette and would love to see him with the Hawks but at $3.75 mil/per this year and next and him also being a key piece fo the Yotes...doubt he's even on Stanbo's radar.

Dude's been a Hawk killer in the past.

My mom raised three boys and is now 75. She started out not liking sports, but slowly got dragged into it by two of us boys and my dad. Now I cannot watch games with her - she starts with the female doging after the first play and never lets up!!

If Pirri is sent down, the one thing i just dont understand is how we would plan on effectively filling in the 4 center positions on any given night if Handzus is gonna be taking games off for rest or what not. Im sure we'd figure it out and be fine but im jus curious bout what might happen.

Oh, we are a sports nut family. All played and are huge fans. I know this will shock some of you but I am a tad opinionated. Hell, most of them still argue about our touch football games from thirty (frank)ing years ago.

Sending Pirri down would be shortsighted imho Al. Zus is done. He is so far behind the play its painful to watch. But then, the personnel decisions at times leavess me baffled.

I agree, Jack. I raised this point earlier today, and this is why I think the Pirri will, at worst, be a Rockford Shuttle guy playing a lot of games for the Hawks. The playoffs, if the team is healthy, could be another story.

Yeah i bet ur right. I'm hoping its not just wishful thinking to believe he'll be impressive enough throughout the remainder of the season to warrant a full time playoff role, even if everyone else is healthy. It all really depends on how effective Handzus will be come playoff time,(unless we make a move somewhere between now and then???) and i can be completely satisfied with no Pirri as long as we have 4 effective centers.

You are probably right.

But 14 games on the schedule in both December and January. Zus can't possibly make it thru all of those.

Not so much dumb as phucking conservative: always play to not lose, not to win, from the first quarter on.

Trestman going for it on 4th down a couple of times in those first weeks was so encouraging - but he seems to have learned NFL ways.

It was so amazing to see Michigan go for two for the win yesterday: it didn't work, but so much more interesting (for the fans) than playing for the overtime.

- StLBravesFan

I cant thank Trestman enough for bringing the Bears offense out of the dark ages...but as a HC he sure has made SEVERAL in game decisions that were head scratchers..

Cripes, we have to wait until Tuesday for our next dose of Hawks?!

Elbows, has to be black beans and rice. And some habenaro hot sauce.

Now I'm hungry.

Wait -- no one talking about the Duncan Keith for Norris campaign going on right now? Eddie O pushing #2 pretty hard as well as Foley and Konroyd. Got to say, Duncan's been pretty good (and many times pretty lucky too). Just like Hoss (man, is that guy a STUD player or what?!), at his AAV, a real bargain to boot.

Been sort of amazed at big Hoss' play -- at 34, he's still got great speed and I think the best wheels of ALL the forwards. Guy is just amazing and really happy he will likely finish his career in the Indianhead with hopefully more than 2 CUPS.

I never thought of Zeus as a 2nd line center but Q has...

There's another one that seems to have disappeared - "is Stan really the team's GM" or "Do the other GM's just laugh at Stan" or "who is actually calling the shots over there" or "Did he get the job because of his daddy?"

I agree and either will Rozsival...

They could bring Pirri back and forth or let Mills sit in the press box most night.

I thought Pirri had a good chance of staying when Q put him on the 3rd line but his minutes are fewer and fewer.

If Keith had 5/6 goals by now he would be the favorite but it took him 51 shots to score 1 time.

It would also help if he played in the Eastern Time Zone and above the Mason-Dixon line.
